 | | The Quito-Baeza-Lago Agrio road takes you to the falls, some three hours past Baeza.
If traveling by bus ask the driver to drop you just past the Rio Reventador bridge and look out for a concrete hut on the left of the road, the San Rafael waterfalls in Spanish are called Cascada de San Rafael so, be sure to tell your driver this is your planned destination or you'll end up some 20km up the road in the main town of Reventador. The entry fee to the falls is US$4 and is a 90 minute round trip (2.5km each way) through beautiful cloud forest. Take the right hand trail then continue over the bridge and head towards the falls on the trail, as well as taking advantage of camping down by the falls there is an abundance of bird life in the region including the Andean Cock of the Rock.
